Station Manager, Irene and Head of Sport Mitchell Gibb (that's him in the fotie) are off out tonight to do what they do best - talk rubbish.
Seriously, as if they could ever be serious, they are off to propose The Toast to the Lassies (Mitchell) and the Reply from the Lassies (Irene) at a Burns Supper in Strathaven to raise money for the Town Mill there.
These two are well known speakers in the area. Irene talks to Luncheon Clubs, Rotary, Probus and all sorts while Mitchell is the dandy of the Sportsman's Dinners. Between them they should entertain the good folk of Strathaven royally and have their chuckle muscles aching.

Stuart and I would like to say a huge "Thank you" to Irene and Mitchell for the brilliant contribution they made to the Burns Supper - wit, wisdom and humourous observations all seamlessly and professionally delivered to a very appreciative audience who gave us lots of positive feedback.
Having presided over the Rotary Burns Night at which these two were guests I know that Irene and Mitchell are a dynamic duo on the Burns circuit. Separately, or together, they are guaranteed to have the audience rocking with laughter.
Well I didn't hear them at Strathaven but I've heard the Irene one in full flow at a luncheon club do and seen elderly ladies chuckle, sing and rock with laughter. The two of them together at a Burns night is a seriously funny combination as many folk in their home town will testify.
